CHAPTER 13 The Rise of Totalitarianism
Objective:
Students will watch the Academy Award winning movie Europa Europa, which depicts a true story of a young Jewish boy who has to take on a false persona of a Nazi youth in order to survive in Germany in the 1930's
Rationale:
The movie paints a clear picture of the various influences controlling the German people as well as some of the military policies which dictated the treatment of people
Evidence:
Understanding of the various symbolic scenes of the movie will demonstrate a deeper understanding of the material

Students will be able to discuss the influence of World War I on literature, art, and intellectual life in the West (e.g.,Pablo Picasso, the :lost generation" of Gertrude Stein, Ernest Hemingway)

1. on what factors would you base the minimum wage?
2. Would it apply to all businesses or is there a minimum numbers of employees a company have to have?
3. Would it only apply to high volume sales types of jobs (fast food - because they have such a high volume of sales, the price increase effect is minimized because it's spread out over lots of little purchases)
4. What about the Calif Plan ($1 more each year over the next 5 years)
