  1. Analyze why England was the first country to industrialize.
  2. Examine how scientific and technological changes and new forms of energy brought about massive social, economic, and cultural change (e.g., the inventions and discoveries of James Watt, Eli Whitney, Henry Bessemer, Louis Pasteur, Thomas Edison).
  3. Describe the growth of population, rural to urban migration, and growth of cities associated with the Industrial Revolution.
  4. Trace the evolution of work and labor, including the demise of the slave trade and the effects of immigration, mining and manufacturing, division of labor, and the union movement.

Objective:
After viewing the presentations on the various projects associated with the Industrial Revolution, students will be able to reflect on the various presentations and list a series of examples of what items they felt were the most impactful in the time period. 

Rationale:
The Industrial Revolution was the biggest social turning point in history, transforming the very way people lived their lives. Identifying the various social, political, and economic changes of the times is essential in understanding the period and the effects it had on the world.

Evidence:
Being able to identify and explain the effects of the Industrial Revolution on the living experience of people all of over the world will assist in understanding the different paths societies took as they developed.

1. Wordle (in your infographic and possibly on the presentation)
2. Infographic (using Google Slides or some on-line tool (pictograph) MUST be pdf or Google Slides so it can be printed out
3. Google Slides presentation - (try to keep the words on each slide to a minimum, but certainly use some of your graphic that you made on the infographic)
4. Sentence frames - when presenting your project students will be taking notes on the essential "take-aways" you want them to have as it relates to your project.

All of these need to be available for the presentations on Monday. 
I need your sentence frames sent to me before Monday so students can print them out and bring them to class on Monday to be filled-out during your presentation.
